Welcome to Cathy's Candles 4 kids. We are a very special online candle and gift shop with a mission. Each of our candles is named after a child who has battled or is battling cancer. A portion of our profits goes to organizations that support childhood cancer research or that help families in need whose children are battling cancer.

After much thought and deliberation I have decided to close my candle business. With the rising cost of materials (wax and oils are petroleum based) and the slowing economy I've decided it's just not economical to keep it open. This business has been very near and dear to my heart and when I started it was exactly what I needed. It's saddens me to think of letting it go but it's been five years now since we lost our sweet daughter Sabrina and it's time to move forward. I will probably continue to make candles as a hobby for myself and a few close friends but not on the scale that I have over the past four years.

My website will still be up and running like usual and orders can still be placed here (at least for the next couple of months). I will fill orders on a first come first serve basis as my supply allows me to do so. I don't plan on restocking oils so when one is gone it's gone (I'm already out of a few).

If you'd like to order candles before I completely close you should probably order sooner rather than later so as to make sure I still have the scents you want (if I don't I will notify you). I still have a few candle accessories left as well and have lowered the prices on them one last time (on my clearance page).

I want to thank you all for your business and support during the past four years. It's been quite a ride.

One last note...to the parents of the children that I have been allowed to represent....THANK YOU for sharing your stories, your children and your lives with me. 4/20/08
